When I got into photography – after grad school but before working full time – the digital era was just starting. Digital was expensive, so I started with film. I'm so glad I did! I experimented with positive films, learning how different ones impact the character of the shot. In particular I found Velvia 50, which emphasizes strong colour reproduction, yet does so with warmth.
