These are miniature studies of actual trees, started in early 2013 when I felt that the winter was a little boring when it came to drawing outdoors. All of these are miniature pencil drawings, no more than 3.5 inches by 3.5 inches. The series will be added-to until I get tired of trees in the nude (in other words, sans leaves). It's been interesting to watch the progression of the series as it appears that my take on them has changed over the course of about a year.
