Out From the Dirt is actually one of my earlier compositions in the Finding Romanticism Among Grunge series that I keep forgetting to post.  I probably shouldn't have let it go as soon as I did, but I have to look back and be thankful it's found a loving home with one of my favorite patrons.  The drawing was done in late February when the weather started showing signs of spring's arrival and crocuses were starting to pop up from the ground with their beautiful rich purples and yellows.  I remember smelling the dirt as I was working, sitting on the chilly damp ground outside.
