Palic is characterized by a clear orthogonal disposition of land with the dominant traffic routes. Fields are extending east- west or north-south . Traffic and pedestrian network of streets intersected zone plots. Nearness of the coast have formed a gathering zones - focal point . Pedestrian routes connecting the focal points and at the same time open visual corridors to the lake .
The process of urban planning involves multiple approaches. They are categorized in two main principles :
- Adaptation of the built environment to the environmental conditions ,
- Creation of building environment that is inconsistent with the context in order to create new space .
Urban planning principles and adoption of environmental characteristics tends to create a unique program- spatial entities . Urban plan requires systematization . Project of Resort Palic as a starting point for a systematic approach to design takes orthogonal network of Vojvodina fields. Positions given plains , their spatial rhythm , alternating colors for the time being , main transport route as the dominant axis of communication , creating a dynamic composition sets the framework for further artistic expression . Compositional pattern formed by the given element has initiated geometry of spatial structure within a given location .
