Studio Fernanda Schmidt was invited to design the interior signage for the Hotel Copa Sul in Rio de Janeiro.

As part of the concept development, we went on creative journey in the city’s luscious flora to create a concept that diverted from the colorful tropical cliché so often used as an identifier for Rio de Janeiro. 

 

In our photo-series we looked for rich textures and shapes that characterize the flora of the city, and worked the picture to give it a warm atmosphere without being overpowering. The typography was chosen for its elegant form and stands clear against the dark background to ease readability.

 

Hotel Copa Sul is located by the famous Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
