The Absent Ones
Natural termination of pregnancy - or miscarriage - engenders disorders and questions, which are the very inspirations of this photographic series: 'The Absent Ones'.
By extension, this theme leads to the wilder topic of the inability to give life, be it physiological, psychological or material impossibilities.
Our society being what it is now, the act of giving birth is, to many, a difficult - not to say an impossible - choice.
In short, this is a series that dwells upon the ones that should have seen daylight: the absent ones.
(From a technical point of view: dolls, flowers, ice, water and a marco lens were used to create this series - nobody died, but maybe some were a bit hurt).

"Les absents" est une série de photos initialement inspirée par le thème de l'interruption naturelle de
grossesse, ou fausse couche, et par les troubles, les interrogations qu'elle génère.
Par extension, est venue se greffer à ce thème la notion plus générale de l'impossibilité d'enfanter :
impossibilité physiologique, psychologique ou matérielle.
Entendre ici que notre société étant devenue ce qu'elle est, l'enfantement est aujourd'hui, pour beaucoup, un choix difficile, voire impossible.
En somme, une série s'attardant sur ceux qui auraient dû voir le jour mais ne sont pas nés : Les absents.
(Technique : Morceaux de poupées, fleurs, glace, eau et objectif macro - personne n’est mort mais il y a peut-être eu quelques blessés).
