Overview- For this project, the objective was to design four 8”x10” (or two 16”x10” spreads) editorial pages. The page designs needed to express a personal interest or an area of expertise of ours. The design needed to have a mixture of both images or illustrations and typography. 

Design Thinking- I decided to do my editorial spreads on hair oil. I found a high resolution picture to use on the first spread very big to catch viewers attention. I used the same columns for my paragraphs throughout the 2 spreads to keep it cohesive. 

Challenges- One of the challenges I had was trying to execute making sure both spreads looked like they went together. I did this by using the same margins, color, and column width throughout both spreads. 

New Lessons- This project really pushed me to use my guides when designing. I made sure that everything was correlated to lines on my grid to make sure that both spreads of my design were cohesive together as one.
