The Basquiat and Music AR app features interactive and augmented content, thus amplifying the visit experience at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. Equipped with your smartphone and earphones, the visitor discovers Jean-Michel Basquiat’s musical influences. Fun and easy to navigate, the app also allows you to take pictures of your Museum visit to remember and share.
The physical position of the visitor in the exhibition is detected in real time with the help of beacons. Depending on which room the visitor is in, augmented content is displayed.
The augmented scenography places the artwork in their original context and transports the visitor in a virtual trip to New York of the 1980s.
Using augmented reality, musical references appear in space and symbols are highlighted in front of some of the paintings.
Finally, exclusive and immersive content is displayed in AR around the visitor.
