명리학에서는 자연을 음양오행으로 구분합니다. 서양음악이 24조성(Tonality)으로 이루어진 것처럼, 명리학에서도 음양오행에 따라 자연과 시간을 24절기로 나누고 있습니다.
지금은 C장조, D단조 같은 24조성이 음악의 기본으로 통용되고 있지만, 음악이란 결국 어디에나 있고 누구나 느낄 수 있는 감각이죠. 우리나라가 전통적으로 '정간보'라는 양식을 통해 우리만의 음악 표기법을 사용하던 것처럼요.
그렇다면 지금 우리가 듣는 K-pop, 대중가요, 클래식, 힙합 다양한 음악들도 명리학의 24절기로 분류해 매칭할 수 있지 않을까?
띠부는 이런 질문에서 시작했습니다. 사주를 통해 인생의 가이드를 알 수 있다면, 나에게 보완이 되는 성질의 음악을 사주를 통해 추천받을 수도 있겠다고요.

나에게 목(Wood)의 성향이 많다면, 이를 보완해주는 수(Water)의 음악을 들을 수도 있겠죠. 항상 같은 취향의 음악만 알고리즘을 통해 추천받아 왔다면, 띠부(TBOO)가 한 번도 들어보지 못한 장르의 음악을 새롭게 만나는 계기가 될 수도 있겠다고 생각했습니다.
음악이야말로 나의 인생과 운명을 바꾸는 가장 쉬운 방법이니까요.

TBOO(띠부)에는 5종류의 캐릭터가 등장합니다. 각각 목,화,토,금,수를 의미하는 캐릭터들이죠. 이 캐릭터들은 유저의 사주오행 데이터에 따라 하나의 메인 캐릭터로 인터페이스 내부에 부여됩니다.
오행이 속성을 의미하는 것이 아닌, 각각의 에너지의 방향성(Energy Movement)을 의미한다는 것에 착안해 성명학을 적용시킨 캐릭터 네이밍을 진행했습니다.
목은 수직으로 상승하는 방향성, 화는 발산하는 기운, 토는 조화를 이루는 수평적인 기운, 금은 수확을 의미하는 맺고 끊는 기질, 수는 씨앗이나 물과 같이 외부가 아닌 안쪽으로 응집하는 방향성을 의미하는 이름을 부여했습니다.
There are 5 types of characters in TBOO. They are characters that mean Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water respectively. These characters are given inside the interface as one main character according to the user's data.
Based on the fact that the 'Five Elements' does not mean an attribute, but the direction of each energy (Energy Movement), we proceeded with naming the character.
Wood is the direction of ascending vertically, fire is the energy of divergence, earth is the horizontal energy of harmony, metal is the temperament of binding and breaking, which means harvesting, and water is the direction of condensing inward rather than externally, such as seeds. So we named them YuPEE (Wood), Diin (Fire), Moodey (Earth), JUSTit (Metal), and MoVin (Water) respectively.
