Our Second Nature
Our Second Nature’s Second Hideaway is nested away at Great World City, central area of Singapore, envisions a retail for one to glimpse into a familiar and calm environment free from the city. The interiors draw reference from tangible and other things intangible that inspires Our Second Nature. Experiencing moments of simple luxury akin to Our Second Nature’s story and lifestyle.
The project narrates an intimate experience for one, enjoying a sensorial walk into nature, stroll through the meandering path into ‘courtyards’ and discovering pockets of surprises and oasis of nature. A tranquil moment for one. A Hideaway.
The interior features a simple palette: light, materiality, gentle curves and pockets of oasis. The retail is welcomed by two oak portal entrances ingress, extending its continuous wall panes into the three courtyards.
An oasis sits in the center of the first courtyard featuring of apparel and visual merchandise. The left side of the middle courtyard features shelving for merchandising display and doubles up as a workshop area. On its opposite, a cozyzone where the men's and kids’ apparel are displayed. This zone is within sight of the rear courtyard where the ladies queue for fitting and payment.
The off-white stucco walls as a neutral backdrop that complements the light oak finish wall with soft lighting that surrounds the interior. A simple gesture of placing the bench at the entrance accessible to the general public invites anyone to have a seat at the Second Hideaway.
