A Corporate Identity Design for the Hawaiian Dance Club Hula Vibes 🏖🌺
Hula Vibes is an ITMO University-based Hawaiian dance club that offers an inclusive platform, curating diverse events to immerse youth in Hawaiian culture and dance. As a design student and community leader, I had the privilege of crafting the club's distinctive visual identity.
Project scope:

Design Concept
The contemporary hula dance incorporates a slight undulating movement in the wrists. If you ask someone with no experience to replicate a Hawaiian dance, they would most likely show waves with the hands.
The truth is that the Hawaiian islands are surrounded by water. As a result, wave motions may be seen anywhere throughout Hawaii. We can infer that's where the native Hawaiians acquired dance inspiration.
Logo Key Ideas:
• A woman whose face consists of traditional Hawaiian motifs: a bird, shells, and a star.
• A woman sitting on her knees and dancing with her hands. The image refers to the natives from the island of Niihau collecting lei from the shells while sitting on the mats.
• A dancing woman counterform in a wave.
Logos, fonts, colors and patterns prototype for each concept:
