Deconstructivism book - editorial project by Yen

Deconstructivism is a design movement that emerged in the late 1980’s, the principles of deconstructivism aim to dislocate elements, break the whole structure and then recombine them into a disorder form which deliver a chaotic visual appearance but still somehow maintain senses of a controlled composition. The Deconstructivism’s works, are not just something easy to understand, but they are things that we need to see, to think about them in order to feel them. With the rise of technology in the 80s era, designers have the ability to use the computer to create and compose complex graphic elements with tons of digital effects, overlapping layers, multi directional typography that can make the design immersive. David Carson, April Greiman, Neville Brody,... are some of the most famous graphic designers that contribute to the development of Decontructivism graphic movement we see nowadays.
This editorial project “Deconstructivism” aim to provide brief information about this distinctive graphic movement, from its story, characteristics, core principles to some of famous designers of this movement with showcase of their works.
