"Dưới Bóng Hoàng Lan" is a short story without a plot, about Thanh - a young man from the countryside returning from the city to visit his grandmother. Thanh orphaned parents, childhood lived with his grandmother. He moved from the provinces to the city to earn a living and then returned every year and this return was two years apart from the previous term.
