Crackin’ the Crab…Secrets from the South is a collection of family recipes created while on vacation with my family. I have taken something that is personal and made it appeal to other families. I not only included my personal stories, but also “how to” sections so other families could use my book to create their own memories.
I handcrafted this entire book, from building the covers, to stitching the binding. Different textured backgrounds found throughout the book enhance the handcrafted/personal quality. I photographed each dish and made the photos a predominant part of the book so the viewer does not forget first and foremost this is a book of recipes.
