More than just renovating his office, photographer Eduardo Macarios needed a space to exhibit the works he shoots in Brazil and around the world. Therefore, the idea of this project was to create an office-gallery, which would allow the exhibition of his photographs as works of art. The gallery receives natural light from the large glass planes of the facade, which also bring the urban landscape into the space. Next to the frames, a low bench works as a support for books and magazines and also for those who want to observe the external landscape. In tauari wood, the floor gives contrast and sophistication to the environment, in reference to the great international art galleries. The service volume, with bathroom and pantry, was wrapped in a dense black panel, with shrimp-style doors that, when opened, reveal the accesses to these facilities, finished in black brushed granite that balance the white planes. The contrast is also given by the textures, since the slab was kept raw and works as a support for a more functional lighting, with conduits and LED profiles. Meanwhile, all the decorative lighting comes from the Brazilian brand dsngselo, signed mainly by designers from Curitiba.
