A customer of mine for whom I have created technical and
semi-technical illustrations, large paintings for exhibition stands and billboards for his construction company asked me if I could create a "perfect" image of his newly bought and customized
BMW R-18 Motorcycle. "Perfect" meaning, an extremely clean image without any disturbing reflections of the surroundings on the
bike's shinny black finish.
Free of any reflections you impossibly could eliminate in photos.
I was able to convince him into buying not just 1 but 3 images instead.
A side view , a front view and a rear view.
Combined into 1 large image consisting of 3 separate pictures.
A so called "TRIPTYCH".
I was free to determine the perspectives, background, floor and settings.
First the photos he sent me as the
only guidelines for my later artwork.

Here are a couple of "step by step" images showing

Final step: Highlights added, BMW-R18 emblem and attachment for the license plate.
