OXIDIZED

Here I create rust patinas on different materials such as dibond, canvas or paper. In the process, I let various metals hereby gold, ducat-gold, silver, copper and iron with several oxidants react. The different metals and the iron change over time into different colors of the color palette blue-turquoise-green and orange-brown-black. I apply the metals, iron and oxidants with spatulas and paint abstract layers on top of each other with it. After numerous layers more and more random but fascinating color shades and structures in and on top of each other start to appear.
