Notre regard sur ce moment bien particulier dans nos vies et dans l’histoire de la restauration au Québec… Nos hivers 2021 et 2022 ont été ponctués de moments somme toute étranges, mais dont on se souviendra longtemps… comme la fermeture des salles à manger et des bars! Pendant le peak de la pandémie, quand tous les restaurants de la province étaient en mode take out seulement, nous avons tout de même voulu continuer d’encourager nos restos préférés en ville. Ça a donc fait en sorte qu’on a plusieurs fois mangé des repas délicieux mais pas tout à fait pensés pour être savourés sur un banc d’auto, avec nos petites mitaines et le chauffage dans l’tapis, dans le confort de nos voitures.

This is our take on a very particular moment in our lives and in the history of the restaurant industry in Québec. The winters of 2021 and 2022 were marked by some very strange moments that we’re sure to remember for a long time—including the closing of every single restaurant and bar in the city of Montréal! During the peak of the pandemic, when every restaurant in the province was restricted to take-out mode, we all were intent on continuing to support our favourite eating spots around the city. The result was that we enjoyed several delicious meals that hadn’t really been intended to be inhaled with pals in the backseats of our vehicles, eating fancy food with our fingers, while basking in the inimitable fragrance of heating emanating from salt-stained car carpets during a Québec winter!
