Mahal BBQ is the brainchild of James Beard nominee Jerome Grant, whose mother influenced his cooking with Filipino flavors from home. Based in Washington DC, Chef Jerome launched Mahal BBQ to bring American-style bbq with Filipino flavors to more people.

I was tasked to make an illustration for Mahal BBQ, using the brand's primary colors. One of the requests from the client was the portrayal of a jeepney, and food cooking on a BBQ grill.

The passengers in the jeepney are based from Jerome's family.
