designed for:     private client
The building comprises of the main barn which is 2 storeys and a single storey barn to the side that is predominantly glazed. The client wished to take advantage of the stunning views at the back. This was provided with glazing the whole of two barn's vast openings, where the landing is situated.

It comprises of open kitchen / dining area with a separate living space, four bedrooms with en-suites and a farm office.

Model of the structure created using ArchiCAD:
Big modern glazing is superimposed with traditional materials giving the structure a modern shape. Despite vast glazing area, the house has been design with sustainability in mind - PV slate tiles was specified to generate 4 kw alongside mechanical ventilation heat recovery system (MVHR).

Gross internal area:
Ground Floor - 137 m2 (1475 sq ft)
First Floor - 81 m2 (872 sq ft)

The barn is now completed.
