ABOUT

Ekspert-Systema is an IT company with offices around the world. One of them is located in the center of the Petrograd side in St. Petersburg. Team Zarya designed recreations, kitchen, and transit areas for this office.

The project design began with the kitchen concept and the entrance area. Convenience, functionality, and first impression were significant criteria for these premises. The broken geometry of the space reflects the corporate identity of the company. Besides, wall decoration hides the structural elements of the building. The curvilinear shape of the waiting area and the reception desk flows smoothly from the intersections of transit spaces.

On the contrary, the kitchen has a simpler orthogonal grid. We placed a panel of veneered MDF on the back walls of the room. Letters on square elements add up to words.

The elongated kitchen contains all the necessary equipment: a dishwasher, several refrigerators, microwaves, and cupboards. The kitchen apron and countertop are made of concrete panels.

CORRIDOR AND RECREATION

We wanted to turn the corridor and recreation area into a spaceship. Resting in such a zone, you can switch your attention and reboot.

The broken shapes of the walls of the corridor close the massive capitals of the columns and set the rhythm. To emphasize their configuration, we highlighted by light these intricate folds. Illuminated glass inserts break the monotony of the corridor and create complex highlights and reflections. It is a window to other worlds.

NAVIGATION AND DETAILS

Navigation merges with the walls, and it is readable only due to the relief in all rooms, except for the entrance area.

The map on the end wall of the corridor is made of metal elements - studs. The orange hats indicate the location of the company's offices.

We chose durable and beautiful hpl panels for wall decoration. Wooden inserts in the recreation areas are made of veneered MDF. Sophisticated orange and deep blue are the company's signature colors.
