Marcellis is a chain of family restaurants of Italian cuisine in St.-Petersburg and Moscow.
The restaurant on Nevsky Prospect is the central object of the network. The space is divided into three parts: the entrance bar area with a landing in the form of a common table and two halls with a traditional landing.
At the entrance, we organized the hall with the help of a bar and a parametric ceiling made of wood. The ceiling is composed of cylindrical elements resembling paste. Some cylinders have a built-in backlight.
The parametric element is adjacent to the classic wood panels in the openings. The panels are arranged with majolica inserts. The majolica technique was chosen as the main emphasis bearing the image of southern Italy. We reflected in ceramics traditional motifs, famous species, as well as plots of wheat harvesting. The restaurant takes pride in its hand-made pasta.
The walls are decorated like old ones, frayed in contrast with modern light and furniture.In general, we tried to get rid of the piles of unnecessary decorations and leave a clean, laconic functional interior with interesting combinations and accents.
We used natural stone, natural oak, stucco for concrete, Glass and ceramics. Only the simplest natural materials.
Our team has also completed the technical and engineering projects necessary for implementation.
