I started trying to draw Batman with my eyes closed after seeing the site blindasbatman.com and then trying to see if I could draw a whole comic in that spirit. I started with my eyes closed, but would open them after drawing a bit, to get a sense of the space I had to work with – close them again and kept going. After the general skeleton was made, I then wrote dialogue and made hatch marks + inks with my eyes open. So it’s not REALLY with my eyes closed, but follows that idea.
