MOTION STUDIO: We are Royale

Mcdonald’s provided Royale with a script, narrating how one penny can multiply and build Ronald Mcdonald Houses. Ronald Mcdonald Houses are for children who wish to be with their families, but also need access to hospitals nearby.
The first thing that came to mind with “multiplication” was Escher’s work. I sketched out several ways,figuring out how to best showcase this concept. In order to make this concept more interesting, I played with the negative space between the bricks to grow the pennies. One penny would multiply and create a detailed arrangement of a million pennies, slowly transitioning into the wall of a Ronald Mcdonald House.
