This book uses the poem "The Jabberwocky" by Lewis Carroll, author of Alice in Wonderland. In Through the Looking Glass (Second book), Alice cannot read the poem without the use of a mirror. Thus, the mirror heavily influenced the overall design requiring the use of one.
The poem is a nonsence poem. I chose smally toys as my imagery. I figured the person who wrote the poem must have had a dark and childish perspective on life.
