The brainstorming I did to create the name for the resource centre. looking at various aspects of hteir pland aswell as the history of the village, which is also similar to the brainstorming of images which i did to create the visual to accompany the name. Looking at the visual history such as in fishing and recieveing the mail from England. 
The final logo is new and vibrant showing the way forward but still hinting to the old fishing history. The arrow shows the war forward, the waves shows the ups and downs of the resource centre moving forward and the boast gives the nod to the old fishing industry. The colours symbolise a bright vibrant look at the future and the name which I chose is both a nod at the history and the defintion of way point is a reference point to a place in the distance, as in where the village want this resource centre will bring them into the future.
