Australians have always thought of South Africa as one big safari park – and for the less than intrepid traveller, the safety risks outweighed the appeal. The truth was, though, this was a fairly inaccurate impression of South Africa. We had to show Aussies there’s more to this country than dirt and dangerous animals, and inspire them to venture into the unknown.

To show Australians what lay beyond the safari park….the cuisine, the wine, the shopping, surfing and adventure sports. 
 
The interactive platform encouraged Australians to "Leave Ordinary Behind" by embarking on an exploration of South Africa.
 
 

The experience showcased the variety of activities available in South Africa via official and UGC content. The platform centers on a custom built Google Maps drag and drop experience. 

 

Aussies could cherry pick their desired experiences straight off of the map and create a sneak preview holiday through a personalised Facebook mashup video.
