An experienced hotel executive, Dan Fenton recently served as CEO of Team San Jose, previously the San Jose Convention and Visitors Bureau. Dan Fenton’s leadership produced strong gains for tourism in the city and increased business for its event facilities, including the San Jose Convention Center.
The San Jose Convention Center, located on West San Carlos Street just under four miles from the San Jose airport, provides a flexible space for events such as industry conventions, large corporate meetings, and banquets. Its proximity to the central business district of the city allows easy access to seven hotels with over two thousand rooms and numerous restaurants and artistic venues.
The center boasts over half a million square feet of total space, with room for up to a thousand booths. Two ballrooms and up to 43 meeting rooms accommodate gatherings of varied sizes. Up-to-date technology and support teams at the convention center enable webcasting, video streaming, satellite transmission, and other communications that can multiply the audience for an event beyond the site itself.
Visitors may access the convention center by shuttle, Caltrain, or light rail. The center has its own parking garage for guests with vehicles.
