For this project, we were instructed to build a model to explore different kinds of spaces. We had to include a public, an intermediate, and a private space. The model is made of heavyweight paper and glue. I made countless models prior to the final one to explore the different types of spaces and how the paper could be shaped and moved. Each piece was cut out by hand, and tabs were cut into each piece so they could be glued together. The entire project was constructed by hand. I love building models, and really enjoyed this one. My favorite thing about it is the view from the top; it looks like a seashell!
