K-Express and Essentials
Small on cost and footprint, the Express and Express Essentials brewers make a bold design statement and a great cup of coffee in less than 45 seconds thanks to the new flow-thru-heater platform.  Intuitive interfaces and visual cues make the system incredibly easy to use.  These are the first two brewers to use our updated visual brand language that we had been developing in parallel.  The new design system was developed to allow for greater flexibility in our expanding line and drive a family resemblance from the value tier to the high-end tier.  Everything is built around the brew experience.
My team was tasked with creating the lowest cost brewers that Keurig had ever produced.  The main challenge for us was maintaining Keurig's brand signatures and craftsmanship while keeping a low FOB cost.  To accomplish this, we needed to be laser focused on our brand values and the physical ways we could express them to the user.  While the brewers are streamlined in features and appearance, they are still elegantly sculpted to showcase Keurig's quality, technology and taste.

These brewers are part of an expanding lineup of value-tier brewers that maintain a visual brand language.

Some of the process work we did from ergonomic research to final button rubber selection.  Every detail on these brewers was thoughtfully considered and evaluated for aesthetics, usability and cost.
