My Landscape project exhibited the variety and intensity of sounds that could be experienced when wandering through the Abott’s Mill site.  

The form of the building and elements of the  landscape are inspired by analysis of audio waveforms from a recording I made of the area. Four follies dotted throughout the site alter the perceptions somebody might have of their surroundings and highlight certain sounds, smells and views which they might be unaware of. 

 

There is an emphasis on sustainable design through the use of passive ventilation and local materials. The park is sensitive to wildlife and designed to encourage community food production.
