Lancia Vision Alpha
Personal project
Lancia is one of the most iconic Italian car manufacturer, but unfortunately nowadays it has almost completely disappeared. This gave me the idea to create a concept that builds on the past of the brand but pushes it forward to challenge other modern sport car manufactures. Lancia often used the greek alphabet to name their cars, so I named the concept Alpha - the first letter of the greek alphabet - that refers to a new beginning.
Sketches
I mainly used the Stratos as a reference, but my goal was not to create a modern interpretation of that, rather to create a new, modern mid-engined sport car that fits in the brand’s identity. The most famous Lancia models have a geometric styling that I wanted to keep, but soften the design by using a bit more organic, round surfaces.
3D Model
I started the 3D model after a few sketches, early in the process. It was important to find the right proportions and to create a nice highlight flow by finding the balance between the sharp edges and organic surfaces.
I tried to create a detailed, quality model to make the concept as realistic as possible.
