Há muito tempo ele vem sendo citado como o mascote do "Gipão", porém, durante seu pouco mais de um século de existência, o clube ainda não havia ganhado um mascote com desenho oficial e definitivo.

A versão final do Diabinho é um garotinho de pele vermelha e sem a calda presente nos esboços iniciais. Os tufos de cabelos arrepiados dão lugar aos chifres para deixar o visual mais amigável. Numa das imagens você pode conferir alguns stickers já criados pela torcida para o uso no WhatsApp. Ele foi modelado no 3DS Max e finalizado no Photoshop.
