Procedural Landscapes in Unreal

This world is procedurally created. To do this, heightmaps and heatmaps are created in the software World Creator and applied to a landscape in the Unreal Engine. The procedural foliage instantiation is done in the landscape material. Foliage instances can be manipulated individually as shown in this example.
