As a crashed pilot of a spaceship you have to face the challenge of constructing an airworthy spacecraft from scrap parts on the deserted Mars in order to get to the nearest wormhole and escape from the hardly habitable planet.

This group project was a result of the Interactive Media Systems master’s program focusing on game development 20. The open-world spaceship simulation is on the one hand, about finding scrap pieces on the surface that have been dropped with the hover truck and on the other hand, attaching them to a configurable spaceship in a nearby base in order to guarantee a safe departure.The focus of the students is on concept art, building part configuration, physic flight simulation, hard-surface modeling and the design of the terrain. The Unreal Engine 4 serves as the basis for development, with 3D programs such as Blender or Houdini also being used.
