Alongside a small group of friends, I helped launch a boutique pearl brand in partnership with a pearl farm owner in Japan. When it came to packaging, the approach was simple: make the boxes elegant while reducing the amount of materials used. The outcome is a two piece box with a simple slide mechanism. There are no metal fasteners used in the packaging and a simple embedded magnet ensures the box stays closed when not in use.
