Phase 1: Research and Strategy for Fab! Beans

Fab! is bean company that aims to provide heritage products and unique experiences to everyday users.

The objective of this project phase was to find, develop and present meaningful information—words and images— that defines and establishes our proposed organization’s values, context, audience and ultimately guides the design of its visual identity. This presentation includes the content that our group pulled together in order to communicate the intent and overall goal of our brand.
The goal of Fab! is to provide a nutritious and interesting staple products as an elevate experience. Graphically that means showing how exciting beans are via colors, shapes, and edgy layout.
We explored three unique customer types - one being the traditionalist; someone who's spending habits may not change often. How we attract and maintain them while courting new customers is a challenge.
We drew inspiration from other brands doing similar things in other unique niches.
Very few heirloom bean brands exist, but the ones that do don't fully relay the excitement and cultural relevance associated with legumes.
During our research several key studies showing increased bean consumption over the last few years showed us that we were on the right track.
