Typhoon Yolanda (or Haiyan as internationally known) struck my homeland, the Philippines, late 2013. It is one of biggest storms recorded in history. It left thousands dead and millions directly affected. Being overseas, I felt I couldn't do enough to help my people back home so I decided to contribute by doing what I do best — infographics. These status reports were a personal project aimed at providing awareness about the calamity. I managed to make three in a month and people shared them hundreds of times on Facebook. They were so well received by the public that all three infographics were even carried by the UN.
