Platform Rebrand

Prior to starting AdDaptive, their ad tech platform had a product life of nearly 9 years without any product design. Their ultimate goal at that point was to serve their clients and users, which led to a lot of Bootstrap UI being slung together. There had been no design/UI strategy in mind.

Auditing and Branding

My first task was to audit all the pages in platform and see the variety of colors and text styles. I designed a library in Sketch as a snapshot of the current UI progress. The text styles varied from a mixture of 60 different colors and size variations. The colors varied to 30 different shades which included off brand shades of magenta and mustards.

I worked closely with the branding team to elaborate on the current brand guide. We need to expand the color scheme, which we did by introducing new tints and hues. I also added some UI needed colors (i.e a red and green for validations styles and specific button use). The last effort was focusing on creating a unified icon style which we decided on a deep flat style that can scale up on a level of detail depending on size and need of icon (i.e on a presentation vs being a 12px icon font on a button)

UI Restyling

With the restyling, we revisited the UI and created a uniformed style guide around different components and how they reacted. I created uniformed hover rules and primary button actions. All UI were built within the Angular Bootstrap UI. It was then documented in Invision's Brand documentation
