χάος (chaos) is the nothingness from which the first gods arose in Greek mythology. It is also the title of the first collaboration between illustrator The Things We Are (Joost Stokhof) and graphic designer Nick Liefhebber. The premise of the series was a book about Greek mythology and a shared love for the figures, compositions and patterns of Greek vase paintings, which both designers translated into their own handwriting. Ultimately, there are 13 joint designs printed in 2 or 3 different color layers in a very limited edition and exclusively for sale at Blackbird Coffee & Vintage.
