I believe that the power she held to be able to clothe her entire family is the reason that even a traffic police today, in Nagaland, is a lady. North East has more than 60% of weavers in India. But how many products do we see in the mainstream market? Loinloom craft is the most primitive weaving knowledge that was known to the humankind and it's dyeing today. Because it has no space in the mainstream market. With this collection, I want to make it accessible, inclusive and fashionable.
Wearable accessories are the most humble part of one's wardrobe but makes a very bold statement in one's outfit. The waist belts are made in a way that they can be used by many body sizes and can also be styled in many ways. It is made to be playful and encourages the wearer’s versatility.
The belts are single artisan and single material make. To reduce the carbon footprint, I have kept the production chain of the product fairly simple geographically contained.
