The project was a part of my 8-week internship at Elephant Design, Pune. The Project brief was to come up with a book, which is a compilation of all the work the company (Elephant Design) has done in the past 25 years in the field of Packaging Design.
The outcome was a booklet of about 100 pages, which was rich in illustrations, striking the right balance between information and graphics. The booklet contains brief and apt information about the company profile and a little insight about the thought process that went behind each one of the projects. The graphic language for the layouts was inspired from origami. An origami elephant was made which acted as the mascot, linking the projects together. Illustrations were made for each project to add the element of fun and quirk. The projects were categorized based on sectors and documented accordingly, vividly distinguishing different sectors.
A system of coding the projects by means of icons was devised where icons were developed for the services under Packahing design , namely Brand Identity, Brand Strategy, Packaging Structure Design and Packaging Graphic Design. These icons were added on each project spread indicating the services offered for a particular project.
