“Bagstore” tries to reuse and rethink the fabric of hot air balloons, which can no longer be used, to create ephemeral spaces.

The workshop began inflating the globe fabric and understand the atmosphere it created inside as a space. The fabric was divided into three parts and our group worked with the central part, which was the only one that normally has no use or concrete form. The fabric was rectangular, 50 meters long and 6 meters wide, which forced us to sew it on some sides, so that when it was inflated, there would be a closed space.

After different ideas, we opted for a tubular shape creating three divisions using gums as a tensor that inside created this effect of three spaces.

Finally, thanks to the generated form, it was argued that the use of space was used as an exhibition space, so we contacted two Elisava fashion students: the Alma Palacios men’s collection “Monumental subtlety” and the women’s collection “Narcisa” by Daniela Jimenez.
