COKIDZ
This project was conceived as a space for collaboration and cooperation between children and children with disabilities through cooking, in order to reduce the social exclusion we find in this age range.
The normalization of disabled people in today’s society is becoming a reality more possible. This project aims to get them to learn from each other to cooperate with each other, and to understand that although there are some differences between them, they can have fun and be friends. The basic activity of this project is cooking because it allows classes and for children to learn basic nutrition, but also requires practice to make it more fun and entertaining, being an activity that can be developed in small groups so that they can collaborate all together. The space consists of a central area where the kitchen is placed, and in order to be suitable for children, the working area it is below ground level because the children can sit down, and what is countertop for the monitor is the table and place of work for the children.
We also find an area of tables that follow the same system, so we take advantage of the spaciousness of the space without the need for auxiliary use of chairs. On the other hand, it has a sliding door that is also slate, so that it partially divides the space where it is cooked and the dining tables.
In addition, the kitchen area has a truss that makes natural light and allows ventilation.
