To discover more about the uniqueness of typefaces, we captured different features individually, and then arranged them to make an effective composition. The balanced use of positive and negative space was encouraged. Specific attention was paid as to how the images fit and interacted together.
This unexpected composition reminds me of broken glass. The jagged features form a radial-like effect. The font is reminiscent of a Roman numeral, and looks like a clock to me.
Above is an edgy, daring composition that is as bold as a flashing red light in a dark room. The sharpness reminds me of graffiti.
While creating this artistic image, I thought of my orange lava lamp because of the flowy aspects. It also reminds me of the Spring season, a music note, and psychedelic imagery.
The organic circles of this Helvetica letterform makes me think of Cheerios. Using similarity and continuance, I made this composition look like a pop-art style work.
This spatially balanced composition looks like an unclose shot of a statue. It also resembles the celebratory imagery of confetti.
I was able to convey a playful attitude with this composition. It has a racetrack vibe to it, including the continual line and the checkerboard-like pattern in the left half.
