Here at Modern Out West, the Bliss Foundation for the Arts is and has always been an important piece in our history and where we are today. The very studio we work in was the gallery and studio for many years for Robert and Anna Bliss. We continue to see the impact the two had on Salt Lake City and the arts culture of the Inter- Mountain West, as we are creating digital records, scans, and archives of the works they created and learning more about the years of influence in design, arts, and architecture world that they left behind.

            The images above give a look into the home of Bob and Anna Bliss where we are working at preserving, archiving, and learning from the works they created and the documents of the work they left behind. Throughout the home you can see various maquettes and full-size versions of the numerous pieces of furniture that Bob created, and the wonderful displays of Anna’s art along the walls. We are forever grateful and excited to continue and help preserve the legacy of the Bliss Family.
