This is a self project on illustration depicting the juxtaposition of an Indian (desi) common man's daily wear with the subculture of BDSM. It draws out the daily wear elements like sarong ( lungi in Hindi ), vest ( Banyan in Hindi ) and an amulet and then combining it with leather wear like face mask, band and gloves from the subculture. It narrates a story somewhere in the lanes of India of a Desi man having fetishes for leather and the subculture BDSM. It is a visualisation of a fashion/editorial styling shoot that could not take place due to the restrictions of Covid-19.
