This project was a part of my interview and selection process at QUOD New Delhi.
I'm super excited for to share my design right from brand study, ideation, conceptualisation to the final outcome of the garment that represents my vision of what the brand Quod looks like.
For the first step, I started by researching more about the brand in detail, because studying a brand that I always wanted to work with was something that kept me going. Here the brand study focuses more towards the Design Vocabulary of the brand, and focuses less on its history and its presence in the market.
When we see something, the first thing that we see is the colour, so I started by studying the brand colours first, and then proceeded with things which are very prominent in their design vocabulary such as Symmetry, prints, collars, sleeves, detailings etc.
My main project starts from here, Inspired by the Spaces around us.
I started off by doodling Illustrations and I was surprisingly inspired by the spaces, spaces between things as common as a cup or an optical mouse. The way the spaces react and exist out there was something that I could relate to the spaces between the thoughts of being happy and being stressed, and went ahead with the conceptualisation.
