RESPIRARE
This project was born from the concern to see that more and more, work and student life acquires a speed that for many reasons, including competition and the need for economic and social recognition, causes a pattern to emerge in which it is normalized to immerse in work leaving other areas of life aside, causing the well-being and perception we have of our lives to be affected.
For this reason, this project proposes a tool through which people acquire daily habits to work on different key aspects of their lives in order to live it more consciously, improving the perception they have about it.
It is a box that promotes the creation of habits and activities that increase short and long-term well-being and the perception we have of our lives. Each of the activities has a specific purpose to work in different areas that make up well-being; emotions, commitment, social relationships, purpose, and accomplishments.
It is divided into two sections:
- Inhala
- Exhala
The first one that proposes activities related to breathing and connecting with oneself to begin the experience from calm and connection. This section was called inhale, referring to this part of the experience that is more introspective, of a job and an internal connection to continue with the next one.

The second section proposes the rest of the activities that generate well-being in the short and long term. This section was called exhale referring to the act of removing and cleaning what is inside to renew again.
In this way the names of the two sections come together forming a cycle. On the one hand, it suggests the importance of constant breathing for well-being and connection with the present, but it also gives the idea that this habit is a cycle that must be made consciously and naturalized, that there is not necessarily an order but that you have to inhale in order to exhale and so on.
The difference between the two decks of cards is the color palette, the one in the first section, inhale, are illustrations in which light blues and purples predominate, referring to that calm and that fluid breathing that it proposes. On the other hand, exhale, yellow and orange colors predominate, pointing out themes such as joy, gratitude. Within each section, the cards are differentiated by the illustrations, which more specifically represent the area that is being worked on with the activity proposed in that card. On the other hand, all the cards have illustrations of the sun, moon or both at the top, indicating whether this activity should be done in the morning, at night or either of the two to maximize the benefit of it, there is also the approximate duration of each activity in minutes. This, in order that people have the possibility of interacting with the tool creating their own schedules and their own habits depending on the time they are willing to dedicate in the morning or at night.
The mode of use is, once the routine is created, the cards are placed in the spaces of each corresponding void of each section (inhale or exhale) and the time (morning or night) and for the duration time that the user is willing to dedicate (from 10 minutes onwards). Once the activities are established according to the users' schedules, they interact randomly with each card. The idea is to carry out at least one inhale and one exhale activity per day.
