The T7xe is a commercial treadmill conceived to create an engaging experience for the user while making ownership easier and maintenance simpler.
At its founding Matrix Fitness focused on industrial design. As other manufacturers updated their products to compete on style Matrix needed to reassert itself as the design leader. To support this new emphasis the T7xe had aggressive goals to minimize shipping size--moving product cost from shipping big boxes to creating the best experience possible. This impacted the design intent from the start focusing on minimal structure and an open feel.
Uncluttered and sporty lines re-energized Matrix's aesthetic language. The design of the T7xe combines approachable, ergonomic forms with fluid surfaces that speak to aspirational refinement.
For club users the T7xe features a 15" touch screen interface, iPod and Nike+ connectivity and a heightened sensitivity to user ergonomics. For club staff the design provides easy access to belt drive components and simplifies other common maintenance tasks.
